Debbie specializes in civil litigation training of legal secretaries, paralegals and other support staff. She has materials for Washington State as well as other states. She also trains new attorneys who have just passed the bar on the Civil and Local Rules. You can learn all the mandatory deadlines and avoid non-compliance and fines with checklists and charts provided at classes. The books walk you through a civil lawsuit from start to finish from the Summons and Complaint to trial.
Use the books as desk-reference guides on a daily basis. Come to the classes and you will get a book with each class. Classes are held in downtown Seattle at the City Center Building at 1420 Fifth Avenue on the 4th floor, in the building conference Room 475. It is located between the blocks of 5th and 6th Avenues and Union and Pike - taking up the entire city block. You can park underneath the building.
She used to own Legal Secretarial Pool, Inc. from 1985-1995 which was an employment agency for legal staffing. This was sold to a multinational corporation in 1995. Since then she trains and writes training manuals and is dedicated to educational services.
Debbie still freelances from time to time as a legal secretary and stays current on all the latest court procedure changes. You will not be disappointed. Buy her books and take her classes - you will be a better legal secretary, paralegal, receptionist or file clerk and the firm will be better served.
Debbie’s books are at King County Superior Court’s law libraries in both Seattle and Kent courthouses, used at the University of Washington law library, used by the instructors at local community colleges who offer legal secretary and paralegal programs. They are used at local law firms on a daily basis to train employees on proper court procedures. She has a total of 11 books for Washington State plus online courses for many states.
